Update 32: Overview of 2025
2025, what a year! It has been a rollercoaster for us, to say the least. We opened a new tree nursery, planted ten thousand trees in two different regions in Albania, got to know so many great people and partners, held several educational workshops with schools, employed more than 60 local people to plant seeds and trees, and our favourite thing to do… we grew healthy trees which are going to be planted in Autumn 2026.
You can read more in detail about our growth in Update 24 and Update 25, and find out more about becoming Trees for Albania!
And you don’t want to miss Update 30 and Update 31, which will give you more details about spring and autumn seasons… and everything in between!
2025 Annual report
We published our 2025 annual report where you can read all the finance details. You can find it in the Annual Reports section on the Finance page.
As it has become tradition, we collaborate with young artists each year for our Annual Report covers. We want to thank Jolin Matraku from Kolektivi Zanat for the wonderful illustration for our 2025 Annual report! This is our 4th artist co-operation, and we are super excited to see how each artist interprets our reforestation efforts every year!
A big shout-out to the other wonderful artists over the years:

Highlights of the 2025
While the report covers everything in detail, here are a few highlights:
- This year, we planted and replanted 8,843 more trees in Lurë and Voskopojë. That brings our total to 43,106 trees and 43.24 hectares of restored land. Our reforestation projects also provided income for 43 workers.
- Every tree we planted in 2025 was grown in our Lurë tree nursery!
- We also built a second tree nursery in Voskopojë, so we can now grow up to 30,000 saplings each year. We raise six native species of coniferous and deciduous trees, and our nursery projects help provide income for women.
- We are proud to offer regular seasonal jobs in both Lurë and Voskopojë for 64 people, including women, youth, and men who collect seeds, work in our nurseries, and plant trees. Our educational workshops with schools from Dibër and Korçë also grew, reaching 121 students.
