Update 3: Earthquake, 2019 event cancelled

As many of you know, there was a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Durrës, Albania on Nov 26th 2019, which did unfortunately lead to loss of life, a lot of people were injured or displaced from their homes. People are worried about their safety as well as the safety of their families.

We have therefore decided that this is not the time to go ahead with this year event planned on 28th–30th November.

We continue working on the Trees for Lurë by preparing the Spring 2020 events.

What is happening:

• we are contacting our partners and donors to discuss next steps regarding their donations
• we are working hard to ensure the trees we currently have to be available for Spring 2020
• we are in touch with the volunteers for the current event

Earthquake, Volunteering

The whole team behind Trees for Lurë decided to volunteer as individuals and help with the earthquake relief.

We want to make clear here, that the finances of Trees for Lurë are not involved in volunteering and remain solely for the Trees for Lurë in 2020.

We feel that this is the right course of action at this time.
